Lichen diversity associated with native forest of the Achibueno river ravine, Maule region, Chile
Abstract
We studied the lichen diversity associated with the native forest and understory of the Achibueno river ravine. Thirty species were identified, belonging to 14 families and 26 genera. Of the lichen diversity found in this area, a 77 % corresponds to Chlorolichens and 23% to Cyanolichens, which reveals the pristine character of these forests. Additionally, Hypogymnia fragillima is recorded for the first time in the country and the southern-most distribution of Crocodia guilleminii was further extended northward
